  2. Beautiful, Rebecca, and very different from my piece that I titled Emergence. Is it going to be on exhibit in Durango?

  4. Forgot to ask: What was the inspiration? I'm really interested in the inspiration and process of the artist.

  5. This piece was inspired by the petroglyphs that are around the house I'm living in near Velarde, NM. The orange forms are "rocks" and the spiral is a common petroglyph motif which scholars think indicates emerging from the last world to this one (Anasazi). The piece did hang at the non-juried show Intermountain Creations at the Intermountain Weaver's Conference in Durango this past weekend. It got a 2nd place people's choice award which was fun!
